Lightning Press Satisfaction Guaranteed Policy
We pride ourselves in delivering quality book printing products to our valued customers.
We strive for customer satisfaction and to keep you as a long-term valued Lightning Press customer. Should we produce work for you that is not in keeping with the book industry standards, we will reprint the job for you at no cost. A reprint is customer’s sole and exclusive remedy for Lightning Press not keeping with book industry standards.
Lightning Press will not be held responsible for errors such as typographic, grammar, graphic, dimension, layout, margin, or color errors. In using electronic delivery systems such as that found on our lightning-press.com site, you are providing us the source files from which to produce your job. It is solely your responsibility to submit correctly formatted files according to our file guidelines and proof all materials you expect us to produce for you.
If you are color critical, a printed proof is available at an additional cost. Lightning Press will not be responsible for color defects if you are color critical and failed to request a printed proof.
We do accept properly formatted “press-optimized” PDFs and will subsequently perform pre-flighting operations on your file(s). If common file errors are found, we will bring such errors to your attention for corrective action before proceeding with your job. It is your responsibility to ensure that the proper corrective action is made. By submitting your files via our delivery system you certify that you have carefully reviewed and proofed your work and agree to hold Lightning Press, Inc. harmless in the production of work from your file(s).
Payment Terms – Payment is net cash, and must be paid in full before we begin production since all book printing is custom. Acceptable forms of payment are PayPal, PayPal Credit, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, Checks, and Cash.
Claims for defects – Claims for defects, damages, or shortages must be made by the customer in writing no later than ten (10) calendar days after delivery. Failure of customer to make such claim within the ten (10) day period shall constitute irrevocable acceptance and an acknowledgment by customer that the products fully comply with the terms, conditions, and specifications. IN NO CIRCUMSTANCE SHALL LIGHTNING PRESS OR ITS AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR PUNITIVE, SPECIAL, INDIRECT OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGE (INCLUDING LOST PROFITS), ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE DELIVERABLES, PRODUCTS OR SERVICES. For all other damages, Lightning Press’ Liability will be limited to the quoted printing and binding price of defective goods without additional charge for special or consequential damages.
As security for payment of any sum due under the terms of an agreement, Lightning Press has the right to hold and place a lien on all customer property in Lightning Press’ possession. This right applies even if credit has been extended, notes have been accepted, trade acceptances have been made, or payment has been guaranteed. If payment is not made, the customer is liable for all collection costs incurred.
